A new opera company springs up in Berlin just as the weather turns cold. Presented by the Cabaret Opera you know and love, Alltagsoper is a separate company that aims to give young professionals a place to hone their craft and work their performance muscles through staging full operas in an even fuller season. Their line up boasts Don Giovanni, Hänsel und Gretel, Lucia di Lammermoor, Bluebeard’s Castle, Gianni Schicci, Die Fledermaus, and a grand finale of Carmen. Their inaugural performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni will premier at the end of November with a very relevant and intriguing concept from director Emil Roijer.
