GARGANTUABy Apeseven @apesevenTaking a step out of his usual surroundings and into the embracing arms of Berlin, Apeseven explores old world demons loosely inspired by King Solomon's grimoire "The Goetia".“My expectations for this residency were to explore Berlin’s raw and liberal ethnology. I want to push my art into a direction that makes my audience and I both confront and question our inner demons. “ “As a contrast to previous work, I am painting in a much larger format which implies a feeling of dominance. The imposing characters reiterate this mood, with the use of layers creating complexity. The balance of negative space provides relief from the intense figures.”OPENING DETAILS: George Hambov solo exhibition in Berlin, GermanyOpening night 7pm, 10th October 2019Exhibition running until 16th October 2019coGalleries GmbH Torstraße 170, 10115 BerlinPresented by coGalleries @cogalleriesSponsored by Au Creative Network @aucreativenetworkABOUT APESEVEN:George Hambov, aka Apeseven is based in Sydney, Australia.
