The Go Set are from Melbourne, Australia. Ten years, six albums, more than a thousand live shows, and tour dates all over the world - they are arguable one of Australia's hardest working independent bands, and the flagship for folk/punk Down Under. Combining the folk sounds of bagpipes, mandolin and accordian with punk rock guitars, folk stories, and a penchant for socially and politically inspired lyrics, the are often likened to bands like The Pogues, The Clash, and early Midnight Oil.2014 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for the band. After being added to the Vans Warped Tour in Australia in December, the band is touring the USA and Canada in May, before heading to Europe for the summer - which will include appearances at Rebellion Festival (UK), and Punk Rock Holidays, followed by dates in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.2014 also sees the band working on it's seventh studio album, due for release later in the year, and a documentary - filmed over ten years. Big things happening.
