Exhibition: A Date with Our Bodies - Unicorn Music - Freiburg

-Date: March 16th - May 10th-Artist: Harita Moonrider Harita Jeong-Medium: Photography -Theme: Art Therapy, Empowement for Women, Feminsm, Queer, Macro Image, Nude PortraitAll exhibition works are also for saleHarita was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1988. Growing up in another patriarchic society as an ambitious middle child of three daughters, her questioning about the distorted gender norms against women started early. In her late teenage years, she secretly identified herself as a bisexual. This, later on, seamlessly led to her vigorous participation in the progressive feminist and queer movements in Korea, USA and Germany. Living in Freiburg (Germany) since 2014, she has been rediscovering and liberating more and more of herself, her sexuality and her relationship to the world. The original photos in this exhibition were first taken from 2013 to 2016, but they could only come out of the hard drive after going through many years of painful, but shining sexual healing as well as empowerment actions. In this work, Harita juxtaposes some intense images of her time – from a nude photo session with her lover nearby a Mexican-American church in Los Angeles to a lonely walk along a Scottish beach during her stay in the Findhorn Ecovillage. Harita currently works as a writer, journalist and visual artist. Her themes cross over gender, sexuality, migration and sustainability.
