In the context of our exhibition "NOW AND THEN | Japanese Photography and Art" Ferdinand Brueggemann gives a talk on a major chapter in the history of photography: The Provoke Era at the end of the 1960s in Japan.
Ferdinand Brueggemann, is a specialist in Japanese photography. Among others he is co-publisher of the monograph "Yutaka Takanashi. Photography 1965 – 1974". He also provided the main essay to the exhibition catalogue "Yutaka Takanashi", Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, Paris. He is curated exhibitions with artist like Rinko Kawauchi and Lieko Shiga.
