On May 26, KISD will have the pleasure to welcome guest lecturers from Taipei, Taiwan. In the KISDtalk, Prof. Kevin Yu-Jui Chou and Prof. Cheng-Neng Kuan, both from Shih Chien University, will give presentations on selected design stories and cases from a specifically Asian perspective.
Prof. Chou graduated in 2002 from the Cranbrook Academy of Art (USA). After many years as senior designer at Philips Design, he started his own studio, KEV Design. He has been recognized with various international design awards, for example Coup De Coeur Award, France, and the redDot Design Award, Germany.
Prof. Kuan graduated from Pratt Institute New York with a Master in Industrial Design. Kuan is founding dean of the School of Design, Taipei, and served in this position from 1997 until 2004. He was also head of the Graduate Institute of Industrial Designers and in leading position for China’s Industrial Designers Association (CIDA) in Taiwan. He also serves as advisor for companies on the realm of Product Design.
