Heute mal was anderes: Gothic Country!
Drawing on influences from old Johnny Cash to dark underground metal, BLACK CLAW’s sound is unique in it’s dark acoustical tone and fierce presentation. After well over a decade in several music scenes, Reverend Black Claw has broughtthose influences together into a new expression he calls Black Country/Death Roots. Envisioned in the desolate forests of the Canadian wilderness, Black Claw’s music is powerful, angry and primitive. They are represented by Frontman Records, a label owned by infamous Americana Noir songwriter and international performer Big John Bates. Currently they are also promoted internationally by Death Roots Syndicate, which has continued to gain them an evergrowing European fanbase.
Was BLACK CLAW Americana Noir nennen, heißt bei SEUORA Doom Blues. Aus dem finnischen Jyväskylä stammend, kommen Reverend Fungus und Johnny Backwater auf Predigt-Tour und nehmen uns mit auf ihre akustische Reise durchs skandinavische Mississippi-Delta. “If Tom Waits was a goth who lives in a swamp, he might sound something like this band. SEUORA is a combination of doom blues, swamp rock, spirit of Halloween and just a hint of folk.”
Und die Dritte im Bunde: ANN JANGLE from South Africa is a very charismatic singer songwriter playing dark folk songs – for which she is accompanied by a drummer. Back in her native country, she even appeared on television and was headlining folk as well as blues festivals with her theatrical performances.
Das wird ein ganz hervorragender Montagabend!
