Hop aboard the train and join the USO as we visit charming Ladenburg and beautiful Heidelberg! Ladenburg is a small town, whose history ranges from a Roman capital to the home of the very first garage in the world. Today it is known for very good food, so after the guided walking tour, there will be time to have lunch there before continuing on to Heidelberg. In Heidelberg the guided tour takes us through the old part of the town where we see the fortification walls, the Karlstor, the old bridge and –if possible--the Witches’ Tower , while learning about the history of this exciting city. Following the tour, there will be free time for a visit to a museum or to the castle—or even a bit of shopping before we take the train back to Wiesbaden. Wear comfortable shoes, bring Euros for meals and purchases—and don’t forget your camera!
